gwei.fun

the mainnet launchpad

gwei.fun is a memecoin launchpad on Ethereum mainnet. a coin is created in one transaction, trades on a bonding curve, and at 4 ETH it graduates into Uniswap v4 — in the same transaction that finishes the curve.

what gwei.fun is

first, the name. a gwei is the unit Ethereum prices gas in — a billionth of an ETH. (the smallest unit of all is the wei, named after Wei Dai; a gwei is a billion of them.) it is the unit nobody could afford to ignore when mainnet was expensive, and it is the unit that makes this possible now that it is not: creating a coin costs about 68,000 gwei of gas.

so the whole place is named after it, and it kept the vocabulary: the leaderboard is max gwei, and the buy that finishes a curve is the last gwei.

anyone can create a coin. it costs Ethereum gas and nothing else — there is no listing fee, no presale, no pre-mint, no allocation for us. every coin in a release runs the same immutable contract with the same rules.

supply is fixed at 1,000,000,000 tokens from birth: 75% sold on the bonding curve, 25% reserved for the Uniswap v4 pool the coin graduates into. nothing is minted later, and graduation does not dilute anyone.

why ethereum mainnet

memecoins were invented on Ethereum. the casino moved elsewhere when mainnet got expensive — and mainnet is cheap again. we measured it rather than claiming it: 32,768 blocks sampled over 365 days, at the price a user actually pays.

  • create a coin: about 0.000068 ETH. in the busiest 5% of blocks, about 0.00079 ETH.
  • your first buy of a coin: about 0.000017 ETH. buying more of one you already hold: about 0.0000078 ETH. selling: about 0.0000089 ETH.
  • no bridge, no sequencer, no wrapped ETH — settlement is Ethereum's own.

basis: the median effective gas price across those blocks, 0.166 gwei; the 95th percentile is 1.93 gwei. gas has no ceiling — the worst single block we sampled settled at 685 gwei. these are measurements, not promises.

the 1e9fee address

a coin launched here does not get a random contract address. we mine one that ends in 1e9fee — 1e9 is one gwei written in wei, fee is what the curve charges. it is the same joke as the name, except this one is on-chain forever, in every explorer, in every chart, in every screenshot of a coin somebody made here.

how a coin lives

  1. createname it, upload the art, broadcast one transaction. the coin exists and is tradable immediately.
  2. bonding curvebuys and sells run against a fixed curve — the price is arithmetic, not an order book, and the creator earns 0.30% of every trade from the first buy.
  3. atomic graduationthe buy that completes 4 ETH also creates the Uniswap v4 pool, mints the liquidity and locks it — all in one transaction. no migration window, no keeper bot, no price gap.
  4. live on Uniswap v4the coin trades in a real v4 pool. the liquidity principal is permanently locked by immutable code; the position can only ever collect trading fees.

the last gwei

somebody has to send the buy that finishes the curve. that buy is the one that opens the Uniswap v4 pool, and the wallet behind it is the last gwei for that coin.

  • they pay only for the tokens that were actually left. anything they overpaid comes back in the same transaction.
  • they receive up to 0.01 ETH out of the fees the coin already earned — a capped reward for doing the expensive part, not a guarantee that it covers their gas.
  • every graduated coin keeps a permanent receipt page naming that wallet and the Ethereum block it happened in, with its own share card. it is the one moment in a coin's life that can only belong to one person.

fees

there is no listing fee and no subscription. the only cost to create a coin is Ethereum gas.

on the curve — every trade pays 1.25%: 0.30% to the creator and 0.95% to the protocol. the creator's share is credited immediately and claimed whenever they want.

after graduation — the pool fee steps down as the coin grows, from 1.25% at graduation to 0.30% once it is established, so a successful coin does not stay permanently expensive to trade. the schedule is hardcoded and identical for every coin in the release, and what the locked position earns is split between the creator and the protocol.

market cappool fee

≈ 172 ETH and up1.00%
≈ 1,148 ETH and up0.75%
≈ 2,295 ETH and up0.50%
≈ 3,826 ETH and up0.30%

referrals

everyone gets a referral link. bring someone in and you earn 5% of the protocol fees from what they do — their coin creations and their bonding-curve trades — for as long as they keep trading, not just once.

  • it comes out of the protocol's own share. the trader pays the same 1.25% either way, and the creator's 0.30% is untouched.
  • attribution is first-touch and permanent: the first link a new wallet arrives through is the one that counts.
  • earnings are accounted in calendar-month periods and paid out in ETH after review.

what the code fixes

we say what the contract guarantees and nothing beyond it. for every coin in a release:

  • fixed supply, no owner mint function.
  • no transfer tax and no blacklist.
  • the liquidity principal is permanently locked — the contract holding it has no withdraw, transfer or approve path, only fee collection.
  • no presale, no pre-mint, no team allocation: every coin is born equal.

where we are

we are close. the full create → trade → graduate flow runs end to end against a private fork of mainnet, and we are in final testing before launch.

we are taking on beta testers now — if you want to break it early and tell us what is wrong with it, we want the feedback. reach us at @gweidotfun on X.

nothing here is investment advice or a promise of returns. figures are from the reviewed pre-production release and can change before launch.
